Its global warming!

With the release of the patch notes for the upcoming EQII update, LU27, I’ll like to point out something interesting from the patch notes.

“The icefloat in Everfrost carrying tradeskill devices has melted away due to global warming caused by tradeskillers.”

How is this logical in such a world, I honestly do not know. In a world where you can shift creatures across planes and have a mastery of the elements, how can such a puny thing like global warming affect it?

Also recently, I’ve picked Civilization 4, which also concidently also involves *ahem* global warming.

Global warming strikes Moscow!

Global warming is featured as such a disastrous force in the game, much more destructive that getting carpet bombed and ironically, nuked. You could rebuilt after getting bombed or nuke (sure theres a bit of radiation here and there, but you could clean it up), but if global warming strikes, oh the doom! Restoring or recovering a tile after global warming strikes is impossible. The effects of global warming seems to be on par, or worst compared to a WMD.

No wonder the good’ol weather storm generator in Red Alert 2 was so efficient and effective now that I think of it.
