Xbox controller proficiency

You have gained 5 levels in Xbox Controller proficiency.

I’ve always lamented that it would impossible playing an FPS game on the Xbox, given how cumbersome aiming and moving simultaneously on the controller would be. My experience today proved otherwise, or at least showed that I was capable of some talent with it.

My classmate, Alexander, was kind enough to lend me a copy of Halo 2 and an additional controller so I could frag it out in storyline co-op today with a friend of mine, Leander. Both of us have been long term PC gamers. Naturally, it did take awhile to orientate ourselves to the new input device. However after an hour or so, we were able to carry out most our actions intuitively for next 4 hour session.

However, there still leave a few things to be desired that a controller simply isn’t capable of, such as precision aiming, in which nothing beats mouse with an 800-dpi sensor, nor the numerous bindings available on a standard 101/102-key keyboard.
