I was having a pleasant conversation with my close friend and fellow blogger Stargrace this morning, and the topic of Lord of the Rings Online came up. It turned out that we both played Minstrels, although it was about two years ago since I last played, and only one a trial account too. I was struggling to recall what level my Minstrel was and remembered that I had saved a few screenshots on flickr then. Feeling awfully lazy, I decided to do a Google search for “mythokia lord of the rings” instead of keying the entire length of my flickr address in, and result #9 caught my eye: http://www.myfoxboston.com/dpp/news/local/Video_game_technology_could_fuel_economy_020809. Turns out that of all the pictures available in the sea of creative common licenesed images out there, mine was picked out to complement the news article. Look ma, I’m in the news! Gotta love how serendipitous events on the Internet occur. It’s one hell of a stroke of luck/chance, but it did place a smile on my face.
