Using a keyboard and mouse for a console game is a little more ridiculous than using a gamepad for a PC game. All you need to use a gamepad is hands, but to use a keyboard and mouse you need a desk, which kinda defeats the purpose of console gaming. I get more peeved when a PC game doesn't have decent gamepad controls. To each his own :)

It's strike against it in the usability field not having what I feel to be lacking a proper native controls on a platform. Having good controls is part of what gives a positive game play experience. However, given that Mass Effect 2 was excellent in other departments, I was willing to over look it. Imagine if a console game told you to get a keyboard and mouse, people would immediately slam it as being a ridiculous product. Not that it hasn't happened before, look up the Playstation Mouse, but it certainly isn't something that gained mainstream acceptance.

Don't mean to sound rude, but if the console-oriented controls are bothering you, why not just use a gamepad? I would agree that it was designed with consoles in mind, but I don't see how that's a knock against the game.
